FUNDING FREEDOM to Elite Foundation means helping exploited women, children, and other victims of human trafficking become free. Free from their past, free from their struggles, free from their horrible memories and experiences. We focus on reintroducing normal lives to the many nameless, faceless victims of human trafficking in it’s many ugly forms. We do that by providing safe housing, education, intense and trauma-specific therapy and counseling. Elite Foundation provides these services both internally, and by funding like-minded organizations who have locked shields with us to combat Human Trafficking.
Our long-term vision includes providing Elite Foundation branded “safehaven” campuses, in high HT areas throughout the world. These campuses will be designed to be all-inclusive… by providing safety, security, intense trauma-specific therapy, education, job and career counseling, and a culture which incorporates mentoring from those victims who have graduated from the Elite program.
Our story creates a continuum of success. We believe strongly that most survivors once transformed have the ability to reach back and pull other exploited victims up the ladder behind them. Although, now saved these survivors have unique knowledge of the dark networks that operate in our communities and therefore can be part of the solution for other victims still entrapped in the sex trade. Once empowered, our goal is to create a mentoring program, employing those who were once victimized.

Everyone has heard stories and read news articles about Human Trafficking that occurs around the world. It is unbelievable to most of us how such a thing can happen, but according to Homeland Security Investigations, there are millions of men, women and children worldwide who are victims of Human Trafficking. But the most important thing to remember is that IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOUR CHILD!
The United Nations has estimated Human Trafficking profit is more than $150 billion a year. A January 31, 2017 report by the Polaris project noted Human Trafficking hotline cases jumped by 35% in 2016. Polaris also reported that most survivors of Human Trafficking were recruited for sex trafficking and labor trafficking. This is a continuing problem affecting large numbers of innocent people.
Human Trafficking is modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked in countries around the world, including the United States. Human trafficking generates many billions of dollars of profit per year, second only to drug trafficking as the most profitable form of transnational crime.
Human Trafficking is a hidden crime as victims rarely come forward to seek help because of language barriers, fear of the traffickers, and/or fear of law enforcement. Traffickers look for people who are susceptible for a variety of reasons, including psychological or emotional vulnerability, economic hardship, lack of a social safety net, natural disasters, or political instability. The trauma caused by the traffickers can be so great that many may not identify themselves as victims or ask for help… even in highly public settings.
Many myths and misconceptions exist. Recognizing key indicators of human trafficking is the first step in identifying victims and can help save a life. One of the many responsibilities adopted by Elite Foundation includes training individuals in the community such as hotel employees, flight attendants, and other hospitality personnel, healthcare workers and law enforcement personnel who are in positions to identify victims and perpetrators.
