Born to immigrants, raised in Canada, the only girl of five siblings, in a blended family, Dr. Jessica Vera’s early life was riddled by prolonged and varied experiences of sexual molestation, abuse, violence & exploitation – complex trauma.
The aftermath would influence her life’s work, but her intersection with domestic human trafficking, when her then adolescent daughter was lured & groomed online, led her on a rescue mission.
The story continues…until every child and vulnerable adult is saved from the grips of evil to restored life, dignity and true freedom.

Human Trafficking is modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion, a hidden crime that steals freedom for profit, and victims rarely come forward to seek help because of language barriers, fear of the traffickers, and/or fear of law enforcement. Their voices are silenced, until they are freed and empowered to reclaim it.
