Dr. Jessica Vera, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Authentic Living by Jessica Vera www.drjvera.com, has built a professional reputation as a recognized trauma-survivor-leader and entrepreneur in health and welfare; human psychology and rehabilitation sciences; scientific research and development; education and technology, and forensic expertise in the private and public sectors. Dr. Vera founded several international multimillion dollar corporations; and participated in joint-venture partnership consulting firms in the USA, all dedicated to the service of other victims.
As CEO of Authentic Living, Dr. Vera transitioned from solely brick-and- mortar to eCom., and is responsible for all aspects of this high-tech entrepreneurial operation, supported by an exceptional team of collaborative professionals working globally to reach those most in need. In addition, Dr. Vera continues to provide strategic forensic service and consultation to the Department of Children and Families, Department of Juvenile Justice, Supreme & County Court System– Family Division. Her clinical experience and expertise, academia contributions, and executive management experience spans almost 30 years.
Jessica’s philanthropic activities have focused on advocating for unheard minorities (individuals with disabilities and women), children and their families in the dependency system, empowering our youth and women in entrepreneurship, and eradication of human exploitation. Over the last several years, Jessica undertook an active role to serve the USA domestic victims of the Human Sex Trade. In this capacity, she has participated and delivered educational awareness and trauma-informed knowledge to thousands to increase community prevention campaigns, attention and funding for victims of CSEC-HT. She is a member of the Founder’s Circle of Freedom for the Freedom Challenge/Operational Mobilization for global victims of modern day slavery. In 2016, unexperienced, Jessica and her eldest climbed 10,000 feet above sea level at the Grand Tetons with 198 other women to raise awareness and funds for this modern day social pandemic and helped to raise millions to fund grassroots programs across Central and South America, India and the Maldives.
As a member of Elite Foundation Board of Directors, Dr. Vera co-developed Elite’s unique strategic business growth plan predicated upon empowering others to fund freedom through entrepreneurial collaborative ventures and eCommerce. She will be directing and managing the organization’s global business development initiatives to promote women emerging into online entrepreneurship through digital learning to self-sufficiency; and provide Elite with resources to fund a continuum of care for the victims of human exploitation worldwide. Our Foundation goal is to raise $100 million by 2022.
